This was the third science book I read in a row. It was fairly short, easy to read, moved slow and, for the most part, was easy to understand – but there were parts that blew my mind.
I read this first in 2020 and read it again this year to discuss it with my wife who’s a high school English teacher. I like the book, but it’s sad – so why I do I like it?
It’s funny how our tastes change over time. I don’t think I could’ve listened to this album before now, and this month I listened it to repeatedly. This was Roy Orbison’s last album.
This band was around since the 1990’s and on hiatus since 2008. I’ve not listened to their earlier stuff yet, but this is a new album that came out this year and it’s fantastic.
A lot of these songs seem to have been on the radio when I was little, but my first time seriously listening to them as an adult. It’s pretty good.
✍ Quote I’ve been thinking about
“‘Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in the world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.‘”
