According to Last.fm, I listened to 97 Neil Young songs last year on Spotify. That’s not an extraordinary amount, by comparison I listened 1,411 Bruce Springsteen songs last year. But I did enjoy listening to Neil on occasion.
It seems Neil Young has decided to ask Spotify to make a decision between him and Joe Rogan and they chose Joe. All over Covid. As if we didn’t all hate Covid enough.
I suppose if I was a big enough fan I would purchase Neil’s music. I’m not even sure how to do that these days. Aside from Spotify, the only other music I purchase are Bruce Springsteen live concerts. And to be honest, I’m not a big enough fan to purchase Neil Young’s music anyway.
I’m a fan of both Joe Rogan and Neil Young. In the end, we lose. I will miss listening to Neil’s music on Spotify. I hope Neil is making the statement he hoped to make.
